As I write this, there’s still no news from Punxsutawney Phil as to whether we can put winter behind us. Seeing the ice up on the Appalachians yesterday, though, unless Phil is blind, I think the safe money is on six more weeks of winter.

No matter, because we’ve got our hands full with Whistlepig Breakdown on Backerkit! If you haven’t been over to Backerkit to hop on the bandwagon, please do. The campaign ends in just about two weeks, so be sure not to miss it.

Many of y’all already know that I’ve been working on Whistlepig Breakdown for a long time. As it happens, life threw some obstacles at us, but we’re in great shape now. The hard work is done and the book is ready to go to the printer. We’re just waiting for a good count of how many to print.

That means that we’ll be sending out the adventure right after the campaign ends. Everyone will get their digital (pdf) version right away. The hardcopy will go out just as soon as we get it back from the printer.

You’ve already heard from me about all of the good stuff that we’ve crammed into the adventure, including the folk magic, Appalachian-inspired creatures, and the award-winning bonus encounter, Smiling Other. So, I’ll just drop this illustration here of a few varmints scramblin’ through a tunnel for you to enjoy.
