We’re starting to get excited about our upcoming campaign for Whistlepig Breakdown! As promised, I’ll be letting you know about some of the things you can expect. Today I am announcing that we’ll be including Smiling Other, a special bonus encounter for everyone who buys the adventure!

Smiling Other is an in-depth encounter you can drop anywhere in the Shudder Mountains or just about any other DCC adventure!

Cletus and Erral, having had a turn of misfortune, went down to the river to pray. For them, that meant going fishing. After catching two of the biggest and most brightly speckled brown trout they ever saw, they noticed a preacher hip deep in the flow. The preacher beckoned them out to the water to be baptized. Moments later, they were met with a violent dunking into the spoil. Cletus made for the shore to get his know so as to fix things before he lost his brother . . . . and that’s when our adventurers arrive.

Smiling Other won first place in the 2024 Road Crew Encounter Design Contest and will be made available for the first (and maybe only) time as part of the Whistlepig Breakdown crowdfunding!
